a woman's journey through life, love & food

  1. Photo post

(a little belated Earth Day love, via our garden.)
One thriving organic Roma Tomato plant. In our backyard. Which is getting ready to produce, oh, about 20 lbs of tomatoes for us this season!!
Roma Tomatoes, anyone?
We’ll probably be giving some away to our close friends as gifts over the next couple of months. (and canning LOTS of homemade salsa and tomato sauces!!)
Here’s to organic gardening…
and all things tomato!
:)

This plant is actually as tall as my 6-foot-3” husband. It’s HUGE!
(and please excuse the crazy garbage can with holes in it, aka our makeshift compost heap, next to our tomato plant. we like to get creative with our gardening.)

Can’t wait til they’re red, ripe and ready. I’ve got recipes galore for these puppies.
Happy belated Earth Day, everyone!
